The 3rd infiltration tunnel demilitarized zone, DMZ in Soulth Korea, Discovered in the South Korean territory
off the D.M.Z near Panmunjeom in 1978, the North
Korean 3rd Tunnel is one of the several underground
tunnels dug under the D.M.Z by the North Korea.
It is deep under the surface and tourists are invited
to descend to the bottom to experience it firsthand.
Imjingak building is located at the terminus of
Tongilno Road just off the Imjingang River. Civilians
are allowed to enter freely up to this area. Visitors
can go to Panmunjeom from there through the nearby
'Bridge of Freedom', and a checkpoint.
Unification Observatory Dora Tong-il (Reunification)
Observatory Located at the end of Jayuro Road just
off the Imjingang River, Dora Tong-il Observatory
is the spot where visitors can observe the North
Korean landscape across the river. At a nearby site,
the Third Infiltration Tunnel dug by North Koreans
to infiltrate into South Korea, was found in October
1978. |

SeoulPanmunjeom is located in the demilitarized zone, 50 km north from Seoul and 10 km east from the city of Gaeseong.

PANMUNJOM (J.S.A) This area is most notably known for the peace talks that were held here on October 25, 1951 and was designated as the Joint Security Area on July 27, 1953 when the armistice agreement was signed.
Once used as a management office, Panmunjeom has been used as now a conference room since the Red Cross held an international conference here on September 20, 1971.
It is the only place where North Koreans and South Koreans can come in contact on a daily basis and make efforts towards the peace of Korea. |

Dress code : No jeans(the color has faded and torn), no sandals,no sandals without heal straps or slippers, no leather pants,no T-shirts, no short pants, no miniskirts, no sleeveless, no training pants, no slippers and no military style, no shaggy or unkempt hair, no letters on such as profane, provocative or demeaning writing or representations, no frayed cutoff shorts,no shorts that expose the buttocks, no items of outer clothing of a sheer variety, no oversize clothing,
- Informal civilian clothes commonly viewed as acceptable in regular social settings will normally be viewed as acceptable.
