Changdoekgung Palace
Built during the Joseon dynasty(1395¡­1910),total area of 580,000 square meters,the main palace grounds which do not include the Secret Gardens cover an area of 120,000 square meters. This palace has more buildings preserved than any other palace from that period. And it was a favorite place of the kings during the dynasty.

The main structures of Changdeokgung Palace include the gate, Donhwamun, the granite bridge Geumcheongyo, and the Injeongjeon which served for official state functions. The Seonjeongjeon for affairs of state between the king and his ministers. The Daejojeon as the queen's guarders as well as the king's sleeping quarters, and as educational quarters for the princes.
The original quarters were destroyed on several occasions, and during the Japanese Occupation the existing quarters became somewhat westernized. The current quarters are a combination of both Korean and western styles.
Listed on World cultural Unesco heritage in 1997.

Jongmyo Royal Shrine

Jongmyo: In Seoul from the Joseon Dynasty(1392-1910).
memorial services for deceased kings and queens. The main hall: Jeongjeon(49 tablets of kings and queens). Yeongnyeongjeon(34 tablets, "Hall of Eternal comfort"), built beside the main hall to house all of the tablets which could not be housed in the main hall. Historical importance:music, dance, ceremony.

Listed on UNESCO World Cultural Heritage in 1995.

Insadong

Traditional market:traditonal- folk crafts,hanbok(clothing),hanji(paper),teas,pottery,antique furniture,restaurants, ateliers, and galleries,calligraphy materials,earthenware.
During the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910), the street was dominated by Dohwawon, a place of study for painters. The area is still a center for the arts, and painters, craftsmen, folk crafts, pottery, paintings. The street offers rich opportunities for visitors to experience Korean traditional culture and arts.

Itaewon
 
Many English signs with 2,000 stores for clothes, shoes, bags, restaurants, recreation facilities, trading companies, travel agencies, tourist hotels, souvenirs, unique foods of the world: Turkish, Indian, Pakistani, Swiss, and Thai, American food. Japanese and Chinese, English are available at most shops.
