The
Chongdong Theater is a small venue with a seating
capacity of 400. In the morning, the theater teaches
the value and importance of Korean culture to elementary,
middle, and high school students. They also offer
"cultural activities" and experimental programs
('adolescents concerts,' 'art stage at noon') to
foster a greater appreciation of the arts in Korean
society.
The Theater registered their trademark for performances,
opened the first theater homepage in Korea, and
also started the first childcare room for visiting
parents. Free outdoor performances are held in the
summer and a flea market for foreigners is run on
weekends at the Ssamzie rotunda. The permanent stage
for traditional arts is open every Thursday and
Friday. |
